Please avoid placing trash or hard items down the disposal. Common sense will go a long way, but here are some examples of items to avoid:
1. twist ties, pull tabs, rubber bands
2. glass, screws, nails,
3. utensils
4. cigarette butts or bottle caps, paper, plastic, or other trash
5. fabric, string, rags, or sponges
6. plant or flower clippings
7. children's toys
8. hair
9. grease
